Dimitrinka Raycheva

Dimitrinka Raycheva was born in Dobrich city, Bulgaria.

Her musical performances started from her earlier childhood. In 1995, she performed the main role Rositsa under the observation of the same composer in the operetta “Rositsa and the Wolf”, written by the big Bulgarian composer Parashkev Hadzhiev.

 

In 1988, she entered the class, majoring in Music of the Secondary School “Kliment Ohridski” in Dobrich city, Bulgaria.

 

In 1991, she started and then in 1994 she finished her

education of Opera Singing in the musical secondary school “Lubomir Pipkov” - Sofia city, Bulgaria. In the same year, she started her Master Degree of Opera Singing in the Bulgarian Musical Academy “Pancho Vladigerov” - Sofia city, Bulgaria.

 

In 1994, Dimitrinka participated in the First National Competition “Young Musical Talents”, which took place in the School of Music Lubomir Pipkov. At this competition, she won the prize of the Best Performance of Bulgarian song and the special prize, established by the Bulgarian opera singer Valery Popova.

 

In September 1996, she participated in the International Musical Festival for young people “Shore Of The Hope” in Dobrich city, Bulgaria. Because of her excellent performance on the final round, she was awarded with a Diploma and the prize of the Best Presentation of the host country.

 

In 1998, she finished her Musical Master Degree of Opera Singing and took part in student’s opera performance in the role of Mrs. Nolan in “The Medium” by Gian Carlo Menotti, which took place in National Opera and Ballet – Sofia, Bulgaria with the producer Plamen Kartalov.

 

A huge variety of participations in concerts and plays in Bulgaria and foreign countries - Austria, France, Italia, United States, Germany, Spain, Monaco followed.

 

In September 2008, she was a Finalist on Young opera singer competition in Alcamo town, Sicilia district - Italy and in October the same year, she was awarded the special prize in “Myricae” International Competition, in Contursi Terme community, Italy. At the competition she was invited to take part in the Master classes of famous opera singer Lella Cuberli and the conductor Daniele Moles.

 

At the 14th International young opera singers’ competition “Boris Christoff”, in April 2009, she took part as Amelia in “Un ballo in maschera” by Giuseppe Verdi and she was awarded 3rd place prize.

 

In May 2010, she participated in the premiere of “Das Rheingold” by Richard Wagner as Flosshilde. This performance initiated a realization of the tetralogy “Der Ring des Nibelungen” in National Opera and Ballet - Sofia, Bulgaria. In the next opera “Die Walküre”, in April 2011, she was performing the role of Waltraute.

 

In July 2011, Dimitrinka successfully debuted on the stage of the prestige International musical festival “Varna Summer” in the role of Amelia from the opera “Un ballo in maschera” by Giuseppe Verdi.

 

Since the beginning of the season 2011/2012 Dimitrinka Raycheva is a Member of artists-soloists of State Opera –Varna, Bulgaria where she debuted as Floria Tosca in “Tosca” by Giacomo Puccini and as Leonora in “Il Trovatore” by Giuseppe Verdi.

 

Her other successful debut is the role Elisabetta di Valois from the opera spectacle “Don Carlo” by Giuseppe Verdi in the performance of the International Music Festival “Varna Summer 2012”.

 

In September 2012, she realized with success this role on the stage of National Opera and Ballet - Sofia, Bulgaria.

 

In January 2013, Dimitrinka accomplished a successful debut as Aida on the stage of Varna State Opera in the eponymous opera by Giuseppe Verdi.

 

In May 2013, she took part in the premiere “Götterdämmerung”- Richard Wagner of Sofia National Opera and Ballet, where she played the roles of Second Norn, Waltraute and Flosshilde.

 

In October 2013, she successfully played the role of Aida from “Aida” Giuseppe Verdi, in Oostende and Antwerpen, Belgium.

 

In January 2014, on the stage of Varna State Opera, she debuted as Abigaille in “Nabucco” by Giuseppe Verdi and in May 2014, as Santuzza in “Cavalleria rusticana” by Pietro Mascagni.

 

In July 2014, she played the role of Maddalena di Coigny in “Andrea Chenier”,

by Umberto Giordano on the premiere performance of Varna State Opera in the International Music Festival “Varna Summer 2014”. This performance received the comment of critic Elena Habermann from Austrian online music and theater magazine Der neue Merker: “The role of Maddalena was performed by Dimitrinka Raycheva who is a real representative of the veristic opera style. Her vocal and artistic aptitude is very similar to the legendary Magda Olivero.”

 

In August 2014, she took part as Leonora in “Il Trovatore” by Giuseppe Verdi in “Bansko Opera Festival – 2014”, organized by State Opera - Rousse, Bulgaria.

 

In June 2015, she took part in “Requiem” - Verdi at Festival Complex - Varna.

 

In September 2015, she participated in a Gala Concert for the opening of the Musical festival in Aspendos, Turkey.

 

In January 2016, she performed a debut role of Carmen in the eponymous opera by Georges Bizet at the spectacle of Varna State Opera.

 

In April 2016, she realized her successful debut as princess Turandot from “Turandot” by G. Puccini on the stage of Varna State Opera.

In December 2016, she took part in the Christmas Gala Concert in the Digital Concert Hall with the Berlin Symphonic Orchestra.

In January 2017, she implemented the role of Carmen in the eponymous opera by G.Bizet at the scene of Ankara’s Opera House, in Turkey.

In March 2017, she visited Krasnoyarsk Opera in Russia, performed the role of Floria Tosca from “Tosca” by G. Puccini.

In May 2017, she plaid the role of Aida in the eponymous opera by Giuseppe Verdi in Stadsshouwburg Antwerpen - Antwerpen, Belgium.

In August 2017, she took part in 24th Opera and ballet festival in Aspendos, Turkey as Aida in “Aida” by Giuseppe Verdi.

In October 2017, she debuted as Manon Lescaut from “Manon Lescaut” by G. Puccini in a spectacle of Varna State Opera.

In December 2017, she permormed Aida in the eponymous opera by Giuseppe Verdi at the stage of the prectigiuos concert hall Forest National in Brussels, Belgium.

In March 2018, she sang Aida in National Theatre - Belgrade, Serbia.

In November 2018, she made a debut as Gioconda from the opera “La Gioconda” by Amilcare Ponchielli at the stage of State Opera - Varna.

In December 2018, she permormed Abigaille in “Nabucco” by G.Verdi at the stage of the Forest National - Brussels, Belgium.

In February 2019, she was invited to sing Abigaille from the opera “Nabucco” by G.Verdi in National Theatre - Belgrade, Serbia.

In July 2019, she accomplished a debut as Yaroslavna from the opera “Prince Igor” by Alexander Borodin at the spectacle of Varna State Opera.

In March 2020, she performed as Santuzza from “Cavalleria Rusticana” by P.Mascagni at the stage of Bucharest National Opera in Romania.

In July 2021, she debuted in the role of Juliette from the opera Histoires d'Hoffmann - Jacques Offenbach in the International Music Festival "Varna Summer".

In April 2023, she debuted in the role of Lisa from the opera Queen of Spades by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky at the stage of State Opera - Varna.

In October 2023, she makes his debut in the opera The Cunning Little Vixen by Leoš Janáček in the role of Fox at the spectacle of Varna State Opera.

In December 2023, for the first time, she performed solo-soprano in the symphonic poem Christmas for soloists, choir and orchestra by Dimitar Nenov at State Opera - Varna.
